Privacy Policy

This draft privacy policy explains how MorrLog handles field project data in the initial Android version.

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Overview

MorrLog is an offline-first field logging app for technical teams. In the initial version, MorrLog stores project data locally on your Android device and does not require an account for offline use.

This policy should be reviewed before Google Play submission and updated if analytics, crash reporting, cloud sync, accounts or team features are added.

Data you may store in MorrLog

Project data may include notes, photos, GPS coordinates, equipment details, readings, checklist results, issue records and exported files. You choose what to enter, attach, export or share.

Local storage and exports

MorrLog does not upload user project data to MorrLog servers in the initial version. Project records are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

Exported files may be shared through Android apps and services you select, such as email, cloud storage or messaging apps. Once you share an export outside MorrLog, that external service handles the file according to its own policies.

Android system backup may back up app data depending on your device settings and Google account configuration. MorrLog does not control Android system backup services.

Permissions

Camera permission is used to attach photos to log entries. Location permission is used only when you choose to capture GPS data for a log entry. File or media access is used for attaching images and exporting project files.

Accounts, analytics and crash reporting

MorrLog does not require an account for offline use. The initial version does not use analytics or crash reporting services. If this changes, this policy should be updated before release.

Purchases

MorrLog may offer an optional Pro upgrade through Google Play. Payment processing is handled by Google Play according to Google's policies. MorrLog does not receive your full payment card details.

Deleting your data

You can delete project records inside the app where deletion tools are available. You can also remove app data using Android system settings or by uninstalling MorrLog. Exported copies that you have shared or saved outside MorrLog must be managed separately.
